Can anyone give me some advice about who I can contact to
get this information about Arbors Assisted Living?
QUESTION: For some time I have been seeking information about whether there exist
areas throughout this country where Quakers live communally -- that is
extended Quaker families, living as a Quaker community, owning homes or
renting in small town locations, who are committed to ongoing social and
political activism. So far I have identified only senior housing offering
assisted living. This is not related to my needs. Can anyone give me some
advice about who I can contact to get this information? Thanks for your
help.
ANSWER: Read current and back issues of Friends Journal, and perhaps other Friends
publications.
Contact Friends General Conference in Philadelphia.
I am aware that Ann Arbor MM has a rural piece of land which has a combination
of permanent houses, summer houses and tenting area, with a small lake.
There is a Quaker community in Costa Rica at Monteverde.
There are others, whose names/locations I cannot remember; and many of which I
am not aware. If this is not related to your needs, what motivates you to ask this question?
