Lexington Nursing Home

QUESTION:

At 6:am me and Judy are drinking special blend coffee and filling bird feeders in back yard while watering our flower beds, Sadie Girl starts barkin and raisin cain over by the wood pile. I found a Big Field Rat dead. This sucker was about 6 inches long with about a 6 inch tail. After going to Sunday School, we drove to the Fort Worth Zoo and they checked the dead rat for West Nile Virus. The test was negative, the rat died from D-Con. I have some in my attic and in my barn that I put out 3 years ago. I should have photographed the sucker and contacted the D-Con people but I didn't. We went to a nursing home after leaving the zoo and took some strawberries and 2 gallons of Bluebell ice cream. We came home and in 98 weather, I got out the chainsaw and cut down a dead Red Bud Tree that I planted in 1998. This summer's heat fried it. I also learned the Red Buds are undergtowth trees and can't stand alone in the Texas Heat. Judy talked to her best friend in Lexington,South Carolina and learned that she is bedridden at 58 years young with big heart problems. She is perky and is going tomorrow to an orthopedic surgeon to see if she can have both of her knees replaced at the same time. As we dined on fresh catfish, hush puppies(corndogers to some) and fried onion rings we gave thanks to the Father for blessing us.

ANSWER:

Well done you Robert and Judy. It is always nice to read of the nice things people do. Glad you had such a well filled Sunday. What is D-Con Robert, some kind of environmental health dept?
