My father is now a resident of a nursing home. He receives SS and medicaid

filed for him and if so, by whom?
ANSWER: If all he has is SS/Medicare, he would not have to file. But if he has other
income that would cause him to have a filing requirement, he would be required
to file and it would be his (or yours if you are in that position) to file his
taxes.
