A workplace in which fear and greed are the operating principles.
The sort of workplace all too common under tory industrial practice.
A nursing home which is the direct product of the tory 'care' for
the aged.
Apart from the Departments TOTAL INACTION and the
Minister, Bronwyn Bishops total incompetence, the most telling
feature was the way in which the nursing home carried out
its barbarity by threats of sacking.

unregistered staff did so under threat of dismissal".

The qualified staff showed great courage in refusing to
carry out this barbaric practice. In this workplace environment,
like most under the tory IR regime, they are under constant
threat of dismissal for failing to carry out ANY ORDERS,
NO MATTER HOW BIZARRE.
And the employers reaction was also typical, find some other,
more desperate, poor buggers to do the dirty work.
In this case the casual help was sent to the local service
station to buy the Kero.
And what sort of support does the staff get from the Minister
and her department?:
"Six staff from Riverside lodged complaints with the department
on January 17 and on following days.
It was not until three weeks later the department contacted the
home to arrange a meeting to mediate the complaints as
required under government policy" [ibid]
A month after staff put their jobs on the line and blow the whistle,
there is no spot check, no reasonable investigation, but the nursing
home is warned in advance, merely 'advised' of the whistle blowing,
and invited to a 'mediation' with the staff who, already powerless to
stop the outrage are now shown how little support they can expect
should they ever complain again.
ANSWER: If all heads have to roll, Minister, Bronwyn Bishops will be the last. Let
us see whether she will be competent enough to get down to the bottom of all
this very quickily and ascertain the truth and roll all heads responsible.
The buck must stop somewhere should it not?
