Has anyone had any experience with Senior Care Agencies
QUESTION: I was half seriously looking at a couple of assisted care franchises for
seniors.
Has anyone had any experience with this type of business, any of the national
franchises? What to watch for, what to beware of when dealing with
franchisors(sp)
in general?
ANSWER: I'm certain that this type of business is highly regulated by your
state. I recommend that you check your state regulatory agencies first
to see what it takes to run a business that cares for individuals.
Think of this more in terms of running a small hospital.
If this is anything like the child care business (my wife is involved
in that), there's certain to be a host of regulations along with a
series of complex licensing procedures.
Also, I have never heard of a franchise for assisted care facilities.
I think it would be wise to investigate the company thouroughly before
sinking your hard-earned money into it.
